• 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Extra flour for coating work surface

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Stir in water and olive oil and knead to form a moist dough.
  3. Cover with a moist towel to let rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a cast iron skillet and divide the dough into 16 balls.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball to an oval.
  6. Cook flat breads in skillet over medium heat until brown, about 2minutes.
  7. Flip flat breads and cook other side, about 2 minutes.
  8. Char flat breads over open flame about 1 minute immediately before serving.

*Alternative to making your own flat bread is to purchase Stonefire Naan at the grocery store.
