- 1 ea Large Bunch Radishes, cleaned and quartered
- 2 ea Spring Onions, washed and sliced, green and white parts
- 2 T Butter
- 3-4 Turnips (Optional), quartered
- White Pepper
- Kosher Salt
This simple side dish is excellent with beef or chicken or simply by itself.
In a large saute pan, over medium high heat, melt butter. When butter begins to foam, add onions. Cook onions for just about a minute then add radish and turnip. This is a very quick dish, only saute the radish and turnip for about 3 min. They should be hot but still retain their bite. Serve hot. Leftovers can be tossed in your dressing of choice and served with a salad, although we rarely have leftovers of this dish.
I’m not a huge fan of raw radishes, so when I saw this recipe after picking up our first box of veggies, I decided to give it a try. It is amazing! A very fresh & tasty side dish. Who knew radishes could taste so good? Thanks!
