Sugar snap peas are a member of the fabaceae family; they are unlike most other species of peas in that their pod can be eaten in addition to the peas. These crunchy and sweet peas are rich in vitamin C and folic acid (necessary for DNA synthesis in our bodies).

There are numerous ways to eat sugar snap peas, such as in a stir fry or in a salad. Few vegetables, however, are as sweet and delicate when eaten in their raw form. This summer, stop buying potato chips and start snacking on sugar snap peas with a great hummus or tzatziki dip!
